Creating something that matters... It can't be improvised. Organizational innovation and information technologies are at the heart of the evolution of organizations, as shown by the number of articles published on the theme of "digital transformation. But if information technologies are driving innovation processes, innovation, in turn, produces new technologies and combinations appear that in turn drive innovation processes. Project management is also an important part of this phenomenon, particularly in terms of driving the change necessary for the adoption and mastery of new technologies, but also in terms of modifying the process and structures in charge of innovation. The ideas of technological innovation, whether they come from a research laboratory, a company's design office, or more generally from the observation of an individual who thinks he has found the original solution to a problem, are numerous and each of us, at least once in his life, has had the idea of inventing a new technical object. But we must recognize that the idea must be concretized, take shape, lead to a prototype, test it... which generates costs and a lot of time to devote to the invention so that it becomes an innovative product. It is clear that innovation is a risky process, full of pitfalls, with uncertain results. It is not possible, in such a process, to go directly from the idea to the realization: it is first necessary to conceive the project, that is to say to expose the problematic and the new principle on which the project is based, to define the targeted markets and their characteristics, to foresee the stages, the tasks to be accomplished and the potential repercussions which are gathered in what constitutes the preliminary project. The creation of such a document is essential for the decision-makers and the project team in order to serve as a reference on which everyone can rely from the start of the project and throughout its development, in particular to detect any discrepancies between the realization and the forecast.
As announced on Twitter a few days ago, the next update is on April 28 and we will start with try the beta before it's publicly available.
